The Tango 6B is solid built shark-fin design that combines 3 separate antennas in one: a quad band GSM, a WiFi and a GPS antenna. This provides the user with a neat and tidy solution where the inconvenience of installing three separate antennas is avoided which saves on both installation time and cost. The Tango 6A is made from strong ABS so that it can be mounted securely and survive comfortably in an outdoor environment. In addition, it has a rubber seal gasket that further reduces the risk of water ingress and corrosion. Shark-fin antennas are popular within the automotive industry so the Tango 6B is commonly used for applications such as asset tracking, fleet management and internal SATNAV applications.
The Tango 6B contains 3 antennas built into a single package: 1) a quad band GSM antenna, 2) an active GPS antenna and 3) a WiFi antenna. The GSM antenna achieves a respectable peak gain of 2dBi, the WiFi 2.15dBi, whilst the active GPS antenna achieves an LNA gain of 28dB, suiting the demands of most GSM, WiFi and GPS applications.
The Tango 6B is supplied, as standard, with three 4 meter RG174 coaxial cables (one for GSM, one for WiFi and one for GPS), GSM and GPS cables are terminated with SMA male connectors and the WiFi terminated with a reverse polarity SMA male. Custom cable lengths and alternative connector types can be supplied for volume orders.
